This June, Louvre Abu Dhabi isn’t just about world-class art — it’s also about world-class flavour. For two weekends only, the museum’s café will host a special culinary collaboration with Kooya Filipino Eatery, led by acclaimed Chef JP Anglo. The Kooya x Museum Café pop-up is scheduled for June 13–14 and June 27–28, from 6 PM to 11 PM.

This pop-up brings the soul of Filipino cuisine to the capital. Chef JP Anglo, the force behind Kooya in Dubai and Sarsa in the Philippines, has curated a menu that reimagines comfort food with depth and heritage.

Visitors will be able to discover dishes like golden-fried lumpia Shanghai, Bulalo empanadas and Crispy okoy fritters for starters. For mains, the selection is even more impressive: quid ink palabok noodles, Kare kare peanut stew, Adobo fried chicken.

And of course, desserts! Chef JP offers the Filipino signature halo halo with yam, ice cream, shaved ice, and 16 toppings and Silvanas (soft buttercream sandwich cookies).

The drinks menu adds another layer to the experience, with mocktails and mixed drinks inspired by the flavours of the Philippines — basil coolers and lemongrass iced tea spiked with kaffir lime.

Kooya x Museum Café pop-up at Louvre Abu Dhabi isn’t the only place to try Chef JP’s creations this month. On June 18, he’ll be in Dubai for a one-night-only four-hands dinner with Chef Akmal Anuar, blending Southeast Asian roots in a six-course shared feast. A must for anyone exploring the region’s culinary talent.
